Capt. Dan Dixon, Everglades City Fishing Guide

Born and raised in Naples, FL, Capt. Dan Dixon took to the water at a young age looking for adventure and good times and developed a knack for finding and catching all species of fish that call Southwest Florida home. Over the years, Capt. Dan has honed not only his fish catching skills, but also his guiding abilities. He is a patient guide who’s main goals are to have fun while properly showing his clients the awesomeness of the Everglades.

Q. What is the biggest highlight of your fishing career?
A. Becoming a full time guide, and getting to do this every day.

Q. What is your most memorable personal catch?
A: 44" snook (a giant).

Q. What is your most memorable client catch?
A. I had a couple on the boat one day, she caught a 38" red fish anf for 3 hours after that we caught 22 snook up to 41", it was amazing.

Q. What is your guiding “style”?
A. Mainly live bait very laid back, fut if we are not catching fish I will move a lot till we find them.

Q. Who are your favorite type of clients?
A. I really enjoy seasoned anglers and also enjoy families with kids.

Q. If you could fish for any fish in the world, what would it be?
A. Snook, Redfish & Sharks.

Q. What is your dream fishing location?
A. Everglades National Park.

Q. Music on the boat?
A. Don't really care but not while fishing.

Q. Are bananas bad luck?
A. Not really superstitious, but why take a chance.

Q. What can everyone do to help the environment of the Everglades?
A. Respect the environment and the wild life.
